Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Transportation Services Group (TSG). The TSG currently has 75 full time staff and is working on a variety of challenging transportation projects across our geographic footprint. Within the TSG, the Project Manager role is a key leadership position and the hub of our ability to win and execute projects. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and thriving group that provides transportation engineering services to our clients throughout Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Washington, and Oregon. This position will focus on project delivery and business development and will report to the TSG Regional Lead who is located in our Fort Collins, CO office.

Duties:

Business Development

• Coordinate with the TSG Regional Lead to develop strategy for the region.
• Lead marketing/business development activities and capture strategy for transportation engineering pursuits for local governments and CDOT.
• Lead the development of proposals and interviews for potential projects. 

Project Delivery/Leadership

• Develop and manage scopes of work, schedules, contracts, and design budgets for projects.
• Work very closely with technical staff assigned to projects including drafters, EIT’s, and project engineers. 
• Oversee the full life cycle of transportation projects including planning, design and implementation for local roadway jurisdictions as well as working on federally funded projects for CDOT.
• Mentor and coach junior staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or equivalent and a current Colorado PE license, or ability to obtain by comity within 60 days of hire.
• 15 years of Transportation Engineering experience including past roles as a designer and/or project engineer overseeing the development of plans, specs, and estimates and supporting the development of environmental documentation for transportation projects. 
• Proven history providing engineering and management on transportation projects with CDOT and/or local agencies.
• Proven ability to work with others and to manage project deliverables and lead diverse teams to successfully deliver complex transportation projects.
• Strong communication and writing skills.

Salary Range and Benefits:
